MAK Pictures is a full-service production company based in Los Angeles. Founded in 2011 by producer Mark Kadin, MAK develops and produces artfully crafted unscripted content for television and other platforms. Originally known for attention-grabbing series and specials in the adventure space, MAK has expanded its portfolio producing lifestyle, docudrama, long-form documentary programming, and tentpole live events.

The early years of MAK were defined by the hit series Cajun Justice on A&E and a variety of series with Discovery Channel, and in 2014, MAK produced the controversial yet ratings juggernaut Eaten Alive for Discovery Channel, which smashed all records for Discovery’s natural history programming. Following up on Eaten Alive’s success, MAK quickly grew and had a steady influx of business with new outlets including Netflix, Amazon Studios, and Facebook Watch, as well as with the traditional cable networks.

In 2018, MAK and Netflix formed a relationship with the first season of Car Masters: From Rust To Riches, and that has blossomed into six current series with the streamer. Netflix relies on MAK to deliver new genres for the OTT, with current productions breaking ground in the treasure hunting and paranormal spaces.

MAK continues to produce content for a variety of outlets, with recent series at Roku, Discovery, Travel, TLC, ID, Animal Planet, and Discovery+, however, the company is spreading its wings with several two-hour premium documentary specials including; Everest’s Greatest Mystery, Chasing Electra, an upcoming Amelia Earhart special, Alien Invasion: Hudson Valley, and two specials for Shark Week--Ten Ton Chum, and Roboshark.

Given its ever growing and continuing success, MAK has developed a strong reputation amongst networks and executives with a hands-on creative approach and  building successful partnerships that deliver continual and substantial business.
